Day 29 - Happy Leap Day!

Day 29 - for Leap day what pic could be better than Miss Emma 'leaping' about on the trampoline at Kindy! LOL! Wow, a whole month has gone past and I have managed to take a completely random photo each day, some days it was difficult to find something and other days it was very easy. Now I have 29 very cool photos of random things in my life ...... now you will just have to wait for the layout! LOL! :)
Another photo for today - Finn in his favourite place at Kindy - the sandpit! Stayed at Kindy for a wee bit this morning to get some extra photos of Finn doing stuff he loves. Only two more days left, another part day visit at school then Thursday it's all go! Finn has loved Kindy, he has 3 great teachers (1 of which is a male - very rare nowadays), just as well I will still have Emma there in the afternoons, coz I think I would miss the place! I joked with the teachers that I would have to call in for a coffee with them as I would miss them so much! LOL!

Day 28

Day 28 - Pirate material from Spotlight - going to be making some flags for the cardboard pirate boat for Finn's birthday party next week :)

School visit went very well yesterday, I stayed for 15 minutes until morning tea time, then he was happy to run outside with his new friends. I came back 1 1/2 hrs later to pick him up, and the teacher said he had done really well and joined in everything! Only 3 more days of Kindy, one more school visit, then next Thursday is THE day!!

Another school visit for Finn today, am going to try and leave him there on his own today. Very exciting!

Day 21

Day 21 - another pic of a rose in my garden. This is my favourite - Michelangelo. I moved this rose bush a few months ago, so we could put down some extra paving - and I thought I had killed the it, but with lots and lots of water, a bit of a cutback it has started flowering again - yippee!
Invites for Finn's pirate party have been given out and there are some excited kids at kindy! Think they will all be playing 'pirates' in the kindy playground for the next week or so - LOL! Thanks to Lynda and Beverley for posting photos of your pirate parties for me - has given me a few more ideas :) And a big thankyou to Lynda for the envelope of pirate stamped cards - I will put these to great use - Finn loved to pirate boy and wanted to take all the cards!

My wee boy is growing up ... sniff sniff ... Finn had his first school visit today. Went really well, he sat by me for about 5 minutes then joined in with the other kids sitting on the mat. He is a quiet boy but am sure he will do fine, and I suppose it helps that he is very excited about starting and being with the big kids ... only two weeks to go now!

Happy Valentines everyone - hope your men spoilt you today! Marty was out last night so I sneaked into his car and put rose petals on the carseat, and put a card inside his laptop so he would find it when he opened it at work. And for me ......... well I am still waiting ............. all I can say is I hope he puts a bit more thought into our wedding anniversary that is next month!! LOL!

Day 12

Day 12 - well just had to post a pic of this - the latest Up2scrap and my first published project is in it! A travel mini album on wooden disc's. Am so please with the way it turned out, only disappointment is they put that I come from 'Silverstream' - this is the name of my street, not the town I live?!
I went to a class at the local stationery shop where the new owner is bringing in scrapbooking supplies. The class last night was taken by Naomi (Gnome for those on SE forum) and we created this great layout. I am really pleased with the way it turned out, and it was fun learning how someone else puts together a page. Also had my first go on a cricut, I know.... but have been resisting the urge coz I knew that once I started I won't want to stop - hehehe! So needless to say a cricut is now on my wishlist .......

Day 10 & 11

Day 11 - We have rain! Well had about an hour or two of misty drizzle - better than nothing I suppose! In the second shot managed to catch a drop sploshing on the top of the fence!
Day 10 - Miss Emma splashing about at the local pool.

Saturday, February 9, 2008

Day 8 & 9

Day 9 - One of the kids toys left lying round in the lounge tonight.
Day 8 - Emma was running round catching 'fairies' - very cute. (sorry slightly out of focus)

Bit of an overcast cooler day today, which was great as yesterdays 32 degrees was just too hot! Lots of rain clouds tonight but as yet no rain?!

Thursday, February 7, 2008

Day 7

Day 7 - my other addiction :) I know it's bad, but I don't smoke and only have the odd wine, so if this is as bad as it gets then that's ok I reckon.

Got a call from Finn's new school today, he starts visits in 2 weeks, officially starting in 5 weeks time - my wee boy is growing up :( On that note I went and got some of his uniform today, umm funny - size 4 shirt is maybe a little too fitting but then he is swimming in size 6 shirt.

Had a nice relaxing spa tonight with the kids before they went to bed, Emma keeps calling it the 'sparkle' not spapool - very cute :)

Day 5 & 6

Day 6 - Happy New Zealand Day! Thought this was an applicable photo for the day - a wee toy kiwi that I have sitting by my computer, this kiwi has been round the world with us and back again.
Day 5 - Happy 1st birthday to our very cute (and sometimes naughty) chocolate labrador called Moro. We have now had her for 10 months and she is definitely part of the family!

Vicki - in answer to your question about my travels - we had 8 weeks overseas in 99 (month long Contiki round Europe then 3 weeks round the UK in a campervan with 4 friends). Then we went and lived in Birmingham, UK at the end of 2000 for a couple of years for Marty's work - so lots of weekend trips done to different European cities, and short breaks to Turkey, Egypt and Greek Islands. Needless to say I have a ton of travel pics that I might get round to scrapbooking one day!

Day 4

Day 4 - love these mini houses I bought in Brugge, Belgium on my travels through Europe.

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Day 3

Day 3 - so a weekend isn't complete without having a couple of yummy slices of superthick sliced toast for breakfast with a yummy layer of Crunchy PeanutButter :)

29 Day Photo Challenge

Janine over on the SE forum has issued a challenge (http://mummymoo.wordpress.com/29-nights-who-wants-to-play/) to take a pic each day of this month - something completely random. So here are my first two photos of the month ...
Day 1 - being the month of valentines I thought a pic of a rose in my garden would be cool Day 2 - a wee incident involving two children and a toy belonging to the dog ....... needless to say someone spent a bit of time in their room 'thinking' about what they had done ...... now I only have one tealight candle lamp with glass shade ....ummmmm
