... so did you miss me?
We arrived home late yesterday after a long weekend across the ditch in Brisbane, Australia. Oh how much I enjoyed wearing shorts and t-shirts for a few days ... a small reminder that summer will be here ... soon, but wish it would hurry up already - hahaha!
Was hubby's birthday on Saturday, and what a birthday present ... tickets to the Bledisloe Cup game. Pity the All Blacks had to let the party down with the loss to the Wallabies - let's just hope that we don't let the next piece of silverware slip through our fingers!
So needless to say here is my Snapshot for Sunday/last week ... once again with help of the hipstamatic app on hubby's phone ...
... SunCorp Stadium prior to the game on Saturday night, with a record crowd of 51,858 other rugby fans ...
Call back in tomorrow and I will have some creations to show ;)

Weekend creations ...
... so over the weekend I created 4 layouts ... with a few scraps of paper leftover I decided that for every layout I made I would follow it with a card ... a good way to replenish the card reserves for those unexpected times when I require one.
So the papers I was playing with would be ... Bella Blvd! Now of all the scrapping manufacturers ... Bella Blvd is the favourite ... and I'm not just saying that.
So here are my cards ... quick and simple to create, but the bold patterns and designs are perfect for this style ...
... 'Have a blast' ... uses papers from the Mr Boy Collection, Alphas from Happy Sunny Skies & Sophisicates Collections ...
... 'Happy Birthday' ... uses Sophisticates Collection (alphas and papers) ...
... 'Thank You' ... using paper from the Family Dynamix Collection, stickers from Sophisiciates Collection ...

Right off to drag out the suitcase ... have a trip planned for the weekend ... a long weekend ... one that involves my passport ... yippee!

Did you know ...
... attention all blogspot bloggers ... did you know that you can add 'pages' to your blog?
I saw a very informative tutorial on Shabbyblogs at the weekend and discovered this.
So next time you go to create a new post, look along the same bar and you will see 'Edit Pages' - click on this and add your detail ... and you too can how extra pages on your blog!
So you will see I have added two new pages - some 'Show and Tell' with some of my favourites layouts created over the last year.
Look out for more being added soon ... for one of my favourite manufacturers! ;)

Snapshot Sunday ...
... well what a difference a week makes!
This time last week the temperature was barely above zero degrees and the sleet/snow/hail and wind was coming in sideways!
Today we had mostly clear blue skies and a gorgeous day where the temperature reached about 16 degrees!
So here is a Snap for Sunday ...
... Emma and her mini snowman she created on the picnic table outside on Monday afternoon ...

And the news of the weekend ... I have a gorgeous new niece! Wee Harriet was born in Melbourne, Australia this morning to my brother and his wife. Big sister Stella is very excited about the new arrival too! At times like this it is hard living far away from them, but thanks to the wonders of modern technology we will be using Skype alot in the coming weeks and months watching this wee tot grow. I hope to get over there to give her real cuddles early next year all going well!
I have just spent the weekend scrapping ... spread all over the kitchen table - hehe! Yes I have an area in the spare room upstairs but it's alot colder up there in winter. And I also like scrapping in the living area, closer to what is going with everyone else in the house. Today I had a wee scrap buddy - Emma wheeled out her craft trolley and her supplies (my old papers and stickers). She made a card to welcome the new baby and had a great time picking through all my scrap gear asking if she could add bits and pieces to her creation!
So I was actually quite productive ... 4 layouts, 3 cards and 3 tags ... you will have to wait to see these ... well the layouts anyway ... hehehe ... secret squirrel stuff here! ;) But lets just say I am on a mission, fingers crossed!
Right ... off now to cross some more jobs off my 'to do' list ... have an exciting week ahead ... tell you more later!

Snapshot Sunday ...
... and the end of a fantastic family weekend ... with more SNOW!
A special weekend with lots of family round, and to start the day yesterday I had two 'players of the day'! Which was great for my parents who were up for the weekend. They got to see Finn score the first goal in his soccer match and most of the game ... then got out to see Emma's hockey game where she scored 3 goals for their viewing pleasure! I arrived home with Emma to show off her trophy, and Finn arrived home with Marty gladly showing off her trophy!
A special day with extended family round for the afternoon, and chance to get a family photo ... well a couple of ok ones ...

Snapshot Sunday ...
... a week back to a normal routine and it has flown by ... I might sound like a broken record record but how can it be August already?!?!?!
So might week started off with some happy mail ... my new passport (which will have a stamp in it by the end of the month), some new dies from MFT and ... a beautiful parcel from the lovely Julie as part of a winter self care swap organised by the gorgeous Janine.
So without further ado ... here are my Snapshots for this Sunday ...
... my goodies from Julie ... it felt like Christmas ...
... lots of treats ... all for me! ...
And yesterday was spent sitting in the grandstand at this icon of the south ... the mighty Carisbrook! Oh how things have changed over the years ... from those early disorderly days standing on the Terraces with all the other uni students ... to yesterday sitting very orderly in the main stand with the kids behaving ourselves ... hehehe!
So the action started with a brilliant game which saw Taieri (our local team) win the Dunedin Club premiership - wahoo! Then a game between the Otago Legends v Southland Legends and the the Otago v Southland ITM Cup match. Unfortunately Otago lost ... but can't really to be too sad being a Southlander by birth ... a foot in both camps so to speak!
After the game they let everyone onto the field ... just like the olds days before they became super strict with security. So took the final photos of the kids running round on the 'Brook pitch.
